educational opportunities

Learning about breast cancer and early detection is our best weapon against the disease, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation strives to provide the most current educational resources in its mission to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease.

Many of the most powerful resources we have are initiatives of the Komen Foundation itself, including 1-800-I’M AWARE, a national toll-free breast care helpline answered by trained, caring volunteers who can provide answers, local resources and moral support. The Komen Foundation also created www.komen.org, a site that has everything from the ABCs of Breast Cancer to a NetQuiz that tests your knowledge of the disease.

The Wabash Valley Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation offers helpful educational materials and complimentary Breast Health Presentations. If you want to participate in our education efforts or if you are in need of educational materials, e-mail education@komenwabashvalley.org or call the Komen Wabash Valley Affiliate Hotline at 812-535-5011.
