volunteer opportunities

As a grassroots organization, our efforts depend on the work and commitment of a very dedicated force of volunteers.

The Wabash Valley Affiliate utilizes hundreds of volunteers to make the Komen Wabash Valley Race for the Cure® a success. Duties include chairing or working on a Race committee such as registration, communications, data management, entertainment, etc., to Race Day duties of on-site registration, survivor recognition, site setup and breakdown, and many more!

Volunteers are also needed at other times during the year for affiliate-related events.

Many of the volunteers over the past several years have come from companies, neighborhood groups, religious organizations, clubs, scout troops, and even schools.
